Itinerary

Day 01

Depart on a charter flight from Broome that soars over the stunning pindan cliffs and turquoise waters of Roebuck Bay, passing the vast mangroves and wetlands of Roebuck Plains.

Touch down in Derby, a historic outback town perched at the edge of the King Sound and one of the first towns to be settled in the Kimberley. Here, you’ll take a town tour including the Boab Prison Tree (Kunumudj) which is over 1,500 years old and a culturally significant site for the local Nyikina and Warrwa people. You will also have the option to visit the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre (closed on Mondays).

Take a scenic drive to Tunnel Creek (Dimalurru) where you will get the opportunity to delve deep into the depths of this intricate tunnel system before enjoying a refreshing swim. Following your exploration, a gourmet picnic lunch awaits against the stunning backdrop.

Following this, head to Windjana Gorge (Bandilngan) in the early afternoon to explore the rugged towering ranges and pristine riverbed.

Journey back along the iconic Gibb River Road and arrive at Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge to a welcome cocktail and delicious three-course dinner.

Day 02

Awaken to a hearty breakfast at Pippa’s Corner, while you learn about the history of Mount Hart.

Take to the skies on a 40-minute scenic helicopter flight, with the choice of heading South to Bell Gorge & Lennard Gorge, or North to Twin Flame Falls & Isdell Gorge.

⁠Return to Mount Hart to enjoy a delicious lunch at Uncle Tony’s Jungle Bar before jumping aboard a land safari tour to Matthew Gorge. Here, enjoy a light hike to the cascading natural spa for a refreshing swim.

Make your way back to Mount Hart for another incredible three-course dinner at Pippa’s Corner.

Day 03

Mount Hart > Barker Pool > Horizontal Falls > Broome

Embrace a hearty breakfast at Pippa’s Corner before embarking on a land safari tour to Barker Pool. Here, go on a light hike to explore the pool and view Aboriginal Rock Art before enjoying a refreshing swim.

Bid farewell to Mount Hart and embark on a captivating 10am charter flight. Fly over the famous Horizontal Falls, while you witness astonishing rapid tidal movements unique to this region. Return to Broome by midday.
